Aged Care Reform: Bi-Annual report, 1st July - 31st December 2012

The Aged Care Reform implementation Council has been established. The Council is an independent body that monitors the progress of the living longer living better aged care reforms. The Council plays a key role in the delivery of the reforms, ensuring they are on time and on budget. It is their duty to evaluate the progress of the reforms and report to the Minister for Mental Health and Ageing, the Hon Mark Butler MP.

Aged Care Reform: Summed up

On the 8th August 2011 the long-awaited aged care reform report was released by the Prime Minister, Julia Gillard. The Productivity Commission’s findings did not paint a pretty picture for individuals facing the need to navigate and secure aged care services and accommodation.
